La tuna is a group of musicians who play and sing for restaurant patrons and passers by. They may be just one or two players/singers together, or a group of twenty or more. Often times a man will hire a tuna to serenade his lover with love songs from beneath her window.
This is a typical bar in Seville, tucked into the corner of a narrow street. Hundreds of bars such as this are waiting to be discovered! They offer beer and wine at cheap prices, as well as "tapas" or the Spanish version of appetizers or min-meals. It is typically Spanish to spend some leisurely hours at a bar such as this, relaxing, drinking and enjoying good company.
Two weeks after the close of Holy Week, the Feria de Abril is held in Sevilla. The Feria is a cultural fair that is very famous in this city. Everyone arrives dressed in traditional garb, riding horses and carts, and spends the six evenings of the feria dancing, eating and drinking. Here is a couple in their festive outfits at the feria.

The Culture of Sevilla and the province of Andalucía is pretty much what most people imagine when they think of Spain. Here the sounds of flamenco guitars and gypsy song can be heard in the streets, played by la Tuna (right), a group of traditional musicians who wander the streets singing and playing, or stop to entertain people in restaurants or outdoor cafés.
